Day of Session / Image Reveal FAQ

ROUGH TIMELINE:

9:30AM You will start off the day with one of our stylists for hair and makeup, arrive with a clean face, and clean dry hair. While we cover the cost of their services, please consider tipping them if you feel they did a great job!

*Please do NOT arrive early, you will not be let into the studio until 9:30. 

11:00-12:00PM If you didn't have a wardrobe consult, you'll be bringing your own outfits and we'll go through those at this time! If you did have a wardrobe consult, you'll be ready to go and we'll just run through the plan one more time before we hop into shooting. 

12:00-1:30PM Next up is the photoshoot, where I'll guide you through every single step!

1:30 - 3:30PM After the photoshoot, I'll send you out to lunch for about 2 hours while I edit all of your images. 

3:30PM - You'll meet me back at the studio and get to see your images for the first time!! You will fall in love with them and definitely want them all, so don't forget to bring a payment method to your reveal to add on more!

IMAGE REVEAL FAQ:

When will I see my images from my session? Our clients will see their images from their session on the very same day as their photoshoot! We take a quick lunch break and then you will see your images upon your return to the studio. There is a $150 fee for those who need to reschedule their reveal, and we will book you a separate appointment within 14 days of your photoshoot. If we do not have availability or you’re unable to return to the studio within 14 days of your session, please let us know as soon as possible as we may require you to reschedule your session.


How does the Image Reveal & Ordering Appointment work? Whether you see your images immediately after your session or a few weeks later, your Ordering Appointment is your time to view all of your gorgeousness and decide which images you will be purchasing! We pull all of your images up on the laptop and go through them one at a time, we will show you some images in color and some in black & white. They are "rough drafts", meaning they have not been fully edited. All of the professional retouching is done on your images after we select which ones you are purchasing. There are a variety of different print and digital options.


How long is the Image Reveal & Ordering Appointment? We allot 2 hours for each client to view their images and make their purchasing decisions. While this may seem like a lot of time, most of our clients are done in an hour. Others take the full two hours! It is important to be decisive as the time moves quickly. We would love to offer our clients unlimited time to view and make purchasing decisions, however in an effort to be fair and reasonable to all we do have to limit the appointment to the 2 hour block.


How should I prepare? It is normal to be nervous to view your images!! We do not fully edit your images prior to you seeing them, and this can be nerve wracking for some people. HOWEVER, you are in great hands. The images right out of the camera already look amazing. Our clients typically enjoy seeing their images before any retouching happens, that way you know how great you look and don't question what we might have edited. This also allows us to give our clients the exact amount of retouching they want, and it gives us the time we need to hand retouch each individual image.


What do I need to bring?  Your beautiful face, and your payment method. Even if you have pre-purchased a Collection, you may decide to add additional products or upgrade your Collection. Please remember we do not offer payment plans after your session.


Payment options are: Cash, Credit, Debit, PayPal Credit, PayPal, Affirm, Klarna, or Afterpay. We do NOT accept checks.


Please come alone. We do not allow guests/children to attend your session or your Image Reveal & Ordering Appointment.


How many images will I see? Every session is different, but we typically show 80-150 unique images per client.


What about photoshop? We will edit all images prior to printing. We will remove bruises, pimples, and scratches. We will also even skin tone and lighten any dark circles under the eyes. We will give you the option if you would like to have scars, birthmarks, moles, or tattoos smaller than a quarter photoshopped out. Should you have additional retouching requests, they must be made at your Image Reveal & Ordering Appointment, and if the request is outside our normal scope of work may require additional fees.


Do I get to see my edited images before they are sent off for print? No, we will discuss the editing process in detail at your ordering session. Please rest assured this has always been our process with every client and all have been more than satisfied with their final images!!


How long will it take to receive my Collection/Album/Prints, etc? With your payment in full you will receive the prints and products in 8-12 weeks. If you need your images faster than this turnaround time, please consult with us. We may be able to accommodate some requests with or without a rush fee added. 


Will my products be shipped to me or do I need to come pick them up? We will discuss this at your image reveal and choose the option that is best for you!


There is no option to have an online gallery or a second Ordering Appointment.


Can I make additional purchases at a later date? As discussed in the Session Guide, we do not archive your images after your ordering appointment. Therefore, you will not be able to return and order additional images. However, if you purchase the Digital Collection with the high-resolution files, you can send them to us for printing or you may print them through a third-party.


What happens to the images I do not purchase? We delete them after your appointment.


All sales are final. Once your Image Reveal & Ordering Appointment are complete, we will have you fill out a Final Sale agreement, which states that we cannot allow for changes to your order. This is studio policy for all clients and no exceptions will be made. You may not change, alter, add, reduce, or request any other types of changes after the Ordering Appointment.


Will my images be shared? No, we will not share your images without your explicit written consent. We will discuss this at your ordering appointment and have you fill out a form going over this.
